Guidelines and Regulations Governing the use of Computer Rooms

1.  Be responsible and exercise care when using equipment.

2.  Do not bring food and drinks.

3.  Queue up outside prior to the arrival of subject teacher.

4.  Do not be in the computer rooms in the absence of a teacher.

5.  Do not remove furniture or equipment.

6.  Do not change hardware configuration or software settings.

7.  Use licensed software.

8.  Report machine failure immediately to the teacher-in-charge.

9.  Keep the environment clean and tidy.

10.  Print ONLY if absolutely necessary.  Save the environment!

11.  Check files regularly for virus with virus scanning and cleaning tools.

12.  Do not store data in machines in computer rooms.

13.  Produce student cards when using computers after school.

14.  Do not log on to pornographic sites.

15.  Do not play games.

16.  Do not attempt to make unauthorized connections, break into, or perform illegal tasks that will affect the network.

17.  Do not broadcast non-critical messages to large numbers of individuals e.g. sending chain letters.

18.  Identify yourself clearly when you send a message.  Do not use computer resources to harass other individuals.  This is strictly forbidden.
